Wholesale FAQ
Wholesale is ideal for retailers, resellers, and businesses looking to stock Maplin products with maximum flexibility and minimal commitments.
Traditional wholesale involves direct purchasing and inventory is shipped to you. Shopify Collective is a dropshipping model which allows approved partners to list and sell Maplin products online, and we ship to your customers.
Minimum order requirements may apply depending on the products and pricing tier, but we aim to keep wholesale accessible for established businesses of all sizes.
Wholesale partners receive product information and assets, but branding and marketing support is more limited compared to Official Partner or Franchise programmes.

From £25,000 capital plus the ability to raise the balance (total investment of £150,000), of which most will go towards stock and shop fitting).
Franchise FAQ
A Maplin franchise includes the right to operate under the Maplin brand, access to our full product range, store design guidance, training, marketing support, and ongoing operational assistance.
Previous retail and business experience would certainly be beneficial, but it's not essential. Training and ongoing support are provided to help you run a successful Maplin store.
